Maritime Cyber Security

The course deals with the cybersecurity vulnerability relevance in maritime context and the simulation methodology associated with maritime training. The crucial aim is to develop the seafarer awareness on the cybersecurity risk for the ship system. Maritime officers (from deck and engine departments) that want to enhance their existing capability in the Maritime cyber risk context so that the outcome adds value to the competences of mariners for its applications on board a ship in a real working environment. The course is designed for English speaking trainees. In addition to having basic knowledge of computer systems and IMO Regulations, trainees should have also complied with the Regulation II/1 (Deck Department) and Regulation III/1 (Engine Department) of STCW 2010 code.
